Building a Statewide Network for Classical Excellence

Founded to connect Florida’s classical education practitioners, we serve as a hub for collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Our community spans K-12 schools, homeschool networks, and universities—united by a commitment to forming students in wisdom, virtue, and truth.

Building a Movement Together

Classical education in Florida has grown remarkably over the past two decades. From individual schools operating in isolation to a vibrant network of institutions across the state, the movement has gained momentum through the dedication of educators, parents, and advocates committed to forming students in wisdom and virtue.

The Florida Institute for Classical Learning was founded to unite this growing community. We recognized that while individual schools and programs were flourishing, there was no central place for practitioners to connect, share insights, and collectively strengthen the classical education movement in Florida.

Our mission is simple: bring together everyone invested in classical education—from K-12 administrators and teachers to university professors, homeschool families, and community advocates. By fostering collaboration and amplifying our collective voice, we aim to ensure that classical education continues to thrive and expand throughout the Sunshine State.

Why Classical Education Matters

Classical education cultivates wisdom, virtue, and intellectual excellence through a time-tested curriculum centered on the liberal arts. By engaging students with the great books, languages, history, and sciences, classical schools develop clear thinkers, articulate communicators, and thoughtful citizens prepared to lead and serve.
